Opening Hours
The practice premises are open from 8.00am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday.
Telephone Lines are open as follows :
- 8.00am – 10.00am Emergencies and making appointments only
- 10.00am – 6.30pm Emergencies, making appointments, obtaining results, ordering repeat prescriptions, and general enquiries
On one day each month the lines will be closed from 12.30 – 2.00pm for staff training.
Extended Hours
During extended hours the telephone lines will be open.
Extended Hours are as follows:
WEEK ONE:
- MONDAY 6.30 – 8.00 pm GP AND NURSES
- TUESDAY 7.30 - 8.00 am GP ONLY
- FRIDAY 7.30 - 8.00 am GP AND NURSE

WEEK TWO:
- MONDAY 6.30 – 8.00 pm GP AND NURSES
- SATURDAY 8.00 - 10.00 am GP ONLY

Weeks will alternate.
You will be able make/cancel/attend booked appointments, obtain test results and collect prescriptions from the surgery.
(The pharmacy opposite the surgery is open 8.30am-6.30pm only Monday to Friday.)
Please note that we are unable to deal with emergencies during extended hours opening. If you ring the surgery during these times you will be given the Out Of Hours Telephone number.
What to do outside of our opening hours...
On weekdays between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.00 am, and all day and night at weekends and on Bank Holidays, services are commissioned by the Hampshire Primary Care Trust.
If the patient requires medical treatment there is a choice:
- For an emergency doctor telephone the out of hours service - 0300 300 2012
- If patients telephone the surgery a recorded telephone message gives the contact telephone number 0300 300 2012
- For health information or advice, the patient may phone NHS Direct, a 24-hour nurse-led advice line, on 0845 4647. NHS Direct is also available online at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

Telephone Calls to Patients
GPs and Practice Nurses are available to call you every day. Please telephone reception to arrange this.
Health Care Assistants
Health Care Assistants are available Mon – Thur for both morning and afternoon appointments, and on Friday mornings only. They are able to help with a wide range of patient needs including phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, Quitters, ECGs, Spirometry, flu vaccinations, urinalysis and new patient checks.
Duty Clinic
Patients with urgent medical needs can be seen by our Duty Doctor Mon - Friday mornings and afternoons.
