COVID-19 Vaccination Update

As of Friday 18th June 2021, our Primary Care Network (PCN) is no longer providing the COVID-19 vaccination service. This is so that the staff involved can concentrate on the provision of General Practice services whilst demand is high, and also to prepare for the seasonal vaccination program in September.
There will still be a service run from Bursledon Surgery, it will be provided by Medicine Clinic Pharmacy Group, and patients will be able to book appointments at the Lowford site and other sites using the National Service or by calling NHS 119.
The National Service has access to the date of your first vaccine, and also the brand of vaccine you had, so will automatically only offer your appropriate appointments.
If you have had a text from us to say we have your first vaccine recorded and not the second, please read this before contacting us:
- If you have your second vaccine booked already, we don't get notified of this (until you've had it), so please ignore the message if you already have a booking.
- If you've had your second vaccine in the last week, it can take a while to get the information through into your medical record, so please don't worry, and you can ignore the message.
- If you had your second vaccine more than a week ago and you had a text from us, we will need to look at why we've not been notified of your second vaccine - the best way to tell us there is a problem is to use the COVID-19: Vaccine Enquiry Form form and state your name, date of birth, first vaccine date, second vaccine date, which vaccine you had, and the location you had it in the "Your message" section. We will investigate the problem and come back to you (this may take a few weeks as the central vaccine centre gets lots of queries). If you are unable to complete the online form, please put the same information onto paper and post it in the post box at the front of the practice.
- Please don't call us with queries as we need to keep our phone lines available for patients who have medical problems.
