COVID-19: Vaccine Passport FAQ

The COVID-19 Vaccine passport is managed directly by NHS England and NOT GP practices. As a result, our staff will be unable to help with your COVID-19 vaccine passport inquiries.

It is important that you confirm your COVID-19 vaccine status via your COVID-19 Vaccine Passport prior to any travel or any other scenario where you may require it.

How do I obtain my COVID-19 Vaccine Passport?

You can also visit the NHS Coronavirus Record Service which will only show you your COVID-19 vaccine record.


How do I see my COVID-19 Vaccine Passport within the NHS App?

On the NHS App home page, there is a new section called "Check your COVID-19 vaccine record". Click on this link and you can then see your COVID-19 vaccine record.

In addition, there is an additional section on the NHS App home page called "Share your COVID-19 status". This section allows you to view and share your COVID-19 status for travel reasons.


What if my COVID-19 vaccine data is wrong or missing?

There are a few reasons why your COVID-19 Vaccine Passport may contain incorrect data, these are listed below:

  • you had your last dose of the vaccine within the past 5 working days and your record has not yet been updated
  • you have been vaccinated outside of England – this service is for people who have been vaccinated in England
  • you had your vaccination as part of a clinical trial

Your vaccine record may not have been updated correctly. If this is the case, you can contact the NHS England COVID-19 Vaccine Passport team or you can call NHS 119. 


Do I need to have full record access in order to view my COVID-19 Vaccine Passport?

No, your COVID-19 Vaccine Passport information is available regardless of your preferences regarding viewing other aspects of your medical record online.


NHS App is not showing my COVID-19 Vaccine Record?

If your version of the NHS App is not showing the details of your COVID-19 vaccination, make sure you are using the latest version of the app.

If you continue to expirence further problems with the NHS App, please refer to the NHS App help page. Do not contact the practice as we are unable to assist with technical problems with the NHS App.


Can I see the COVID-19 vaccine record for a child or person I care for?

No, unfortunately, you need to be 16 or older to check your COVID-19 vaccine record. As a result, you cannot use this service for your child. In addition, you cannot use this service for a person you care for.
